Dr. Anna W. Moss

Meet Dr. Watkins Moss, Gastonia Dentist

Dr. Anna Watkins Moss was born in Gastonia, North Carolina. She began her journey in dentistry at Central Piedmont Community College, where she earned both a Certificate in Dental Assisting and an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene. She continued her education at Belmont Abbey College, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2021.

Dr. Moss went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Kentucky, graduating with Distinction in 2025. During her time there, she was honored with the Samuel Jasper Award in Periodontology.

Though she is newly practicing as a dentist with Carolinas Dental Health, Dr. Moss has a long-standing history with the practice, having first joined in 2008 to assist the front desk. She later served as a dental hygienist from 2015 to 2021, gaining years of valuable clinical experience and building strong relationships with patients and staff.

Committed to serving others, Dr. Moss regularly volunteers at Mission of Mercy clinics and through Agape Dental Ministry, providing care to underserved communities.

She is a proud member of the American Dental Association.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Moss enjoys spending time with her husband, Jaron, and their son, Ellis. Her hobbies include playing pickleball, traveling, cooking and baking, and reading.
